Adoption Guide

Bring barotalk to your event.

From event registration to on-site operation to the report afterward. Turn a Korean presentation into captions in multiple languages, no interpreter needed. No software to install, just a laptop and a mic.

Average latency under a second. The operator can fix any line instantly, even mid-talk.

Adoption takes four steps.

Create the event, upload your materials, connect the mic on-site, and you're done. barotalk handles the rest.

STEP 01

Register the event

Create an event and access URLs and codes are issued automatically for the operator, MC, speaker, attendee, and screen. Just hand them out to your team.

STEP 02

Share materials (optional)

Upload your presentation materials (PDF, PPT) and barotalk automatically extracts the specialized terms and fills the glossary. The operator just reviews them, and the translation is tuned to that event.

STEP 03

On-site setup · about 10 minutes

Enter the operator code on the stage laptop, connect the mic, run a test utterance or two, and setup is done. Attendees scan the QR and pick their language.

STEP 04

Operate & report

Speech is broadcast as captions in under a second. Fix awkward lines instantly, and when the event ends, get an attendee count, language breakdown, and AI summary report as PDF/CSV.

What you need on-site.

No special equipment. What you already have at a typical event is enough.

Who does what.

Each role has its own screen. Every screen also has a 'Guide' button that walks you through how to use it.

Organizer

The person who creates the event and shares access URLs with the team

  • Create an event and the operator, MC, speaker, attendee, and screen URLs and access codes are issued automatically.
  • Register event details (title, languages, venue) and the glossary in advance to boost translation accuracy.
  • When the event ends, get the caption volume, attendee count, per-language breakdown, and AI summary report as PDF/CSV.

Operator

The person who works the mic on-site and broadcasts real-time captions

  • Pick the mic in the console and just hit [Start], and speech is translated and broadcast in real time.
  • Adjust the translation direction (KO→EN, bidirectional), input gain, and the screen's font size and line count on-site.
  • You can fix an awkward line during the talk instantly, and it takes effect from the next caption.

MC · Host

The person who runs audience engagement (Q&A, polls, quizzes, giveaways)

  • Moderate the Q&A and send great questions up to the stage.
  • Draw the audience in with instant polls and quizzes (scores, leaderboards).
  • Pick prize winners by drawing and call up the speaker.

Speaker

The person who presents on stage as usual

  • Just present in Korean as you always do. No need to think about interpretation.
  • See your remaining talk time, audience questions, and poll results in real time on the console.

Attendee

Audience members who joined via QR

  • Scan the QR, pick a caption language, and real-time interpretation captions appear on your phone.
  • Join Q&A, polls, quizzes, and AI summaries right from your phone.

Streaming to YouTube? Overlay the captions.

Add the transparent-background captions as a 'browser source' and they overlay right onto your slides and camera feed. It works the same in both vMix and OBS, and no plugin is needed.

1

Copy the overlay URL

Copy the overlay URL from Dashboard → Event details → 'vMix · OBS output'.

2

Add it as a browser source

In vMix or OBS, go to Source → Browser → Add, paste the copied URL, and set the resolution to your output size (e.g., 1920×1080).

3

Bring it above the video

Move the caption layer above your video and slides, and you're done. The background is transparent, so only the captions overlay.

Nothing to install.

No program to download, no app to install, no separate equipment or system integration needed. Open it in a browser, connect a mic, and you're done. The only prep is tuning the glossary with your presentation materials, so there's rarely anything to coordinate separately with developers. If anything, it's how the on-site screen output is handled, and even that we set up together with you.
