When the MC fixes a caption line from the stage
What happens on screen the moment the MC hits a one-word hot-fix mid-talk — a concrete look at glossary injection.
barotalk's live control room has a small UI called the operator palette. As captions flow line by line, clicking an awkward word applies a hot-fix that takes effect from the very next caption. The speaker keeps talking, none the wiser.
What one click sets off
When the operator clicks a word in an awkward caption, a temporary mapping is added to the glossary and the broadcast server updates OpenAI's instructions immediately. The new mapping applies from the next utterance. The average update takes 0.3 seconds — done before the speaker starts the next sentence.

Saved to the glossary when the event ends
Every word hot-fixed during the event is carried over to the next one after it ends, with a single one-line confirm: 'Save this glossary permanently?'. The more events you run in the same domain, the fewer hot-fixes you need — that's how it should work.
